Music from Episode 8

Posted September 30th, 2008 at 6:08 pm in General by Brand

A viewer recently enquired about the music at the beginning of Episode 8 (where Cthulhu is zoning out). The piece was written and performed by the Brothers Burn, and was made especially for this episode. By popular demand, I’m releasing the song here with permission.

Right click on this link and choose “Save Target As” to download the song.

BTW, if there’s any other piece of the show you have questions about, or would like to see, drop us a line and we’ll see what we can do.

Cthulhu’s REAL phone number.

Posted September 24th, 2008 at 7:09 pm in News by Brand

As some of you may have noticed, the number we have been listing as Cthulhu’s (1-800-SOL-EATR) is not a real phone number. Worse than that, when someone actually called the number, we found out it’s some kind of phone sex line, so we’ve always wanted to change it.

Well, good news. We now have a real phone number. It’s still not live (you’ll have to wait for the Balticon episode for that), but it is a real phone line that you can call and leave a message for the show. If we like your question, we will put your voice on the show, and answer you there. So now, Cthulhu is as close as your nearest phone line (let that sink in and shiver with fear).

Here’s the number:  646-495-9203 x 00964

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Cthulhu’s Parsec Concession Speech

Posted September 10th, 2008 at 10:54 am in Shows by Brand

As you may have read from earlier in this blog, the Parsec Awards were held at this year’s DragonCon. C4C was up for a Parsec award in two categories, and lost both. The honorable, noble thing to do is to congratulate the winners. But Cthulhu’s just not built that way. So here it is, Cthulhu’s Concession Speech.

And congrats to Earl, Dave, and all the guys at Stranger Things. You guys earned it, with a really great show.

My first rip off

Posted September 8th, 2008 at 12:45 pm in General by Brand

I just saw this on YouTube, and had to share it with you guys.

I don’t speak Spanish well, so I can only get a few words of that. Still, it’s the thought that counts. This is clearly more horror and less comedy than the normal show, but it’s still fun to watch.

Update: Big thanks to Jorge, who translated the song for us. You can find the result in the comments for this post.

Episode Nine is Live!

Posted September 2nd, 2008 at 10:20 pm in Shows by Brand

Some of you may remember back when this blog had more than the discovery of Cthulhu sightings on the web.

Well, I bet you weren’t expecting this. Whoever had “8 months” in the “How long will it take for the next episode?” pool, please come collect your prize.

The bad news is that it took so long, but the good news is that we are not done. There will still be many other episodes.

Enjoy.
